Commercialization

ONC’s Centre for Enterprise and Engagement (ONCCEE) was established in 2009 as part of the Networks of Centres of Excellence of Canada program. Its mission is to maximize the socio-economic benefits from Canada's significant investment in the VENUS and NEPTUNE Canada ocean observing systems.

ONCCEE's four focus areas are:

  • Ocean observing technologies (OOT);
  • Sensor and instrument technologies(SIT);
  • Information communication technologies (ICT); and
  • Education and Public Engagement (EPE).
