We often host booths and present papers together with collaborators from the scientific and technology communities. ONC also has a Student Award Program for financial assistance towards travel for students and post-docs to major conferences. Ocean Sciences Meeting - New Orleans, 21-26 February 2016
The next Ocean Sciences Meeting, is to be held in New Orleans between February 21-26, 2016. Come visit Ocean Networks Canada at Booth 503 or one of our many presentations. A dedicated session has been organized for observatory research: OD11A Ocean Observatory Science: Unrecedented Access to the Sea (Session ID# 9262), chaired by our Associate Director Science Services, Richard Dewey. Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (CMOS-2015) Whistler, 31 May - 4 June 2015
Several ONC staff attended the 49th Canadian Meteorological and Oceanogrpahic Society's annual congress in June 2015. Over seventeen papers and posters were presented that included ONC data and related scientific results. The congress was held in conjuction with the American Meteorological Society’s 13th Conference on Polar Meteorology and Oceanography from May 31st to June 4th, 2015 at the Whistler Conference Centre, Whistler, BC, Canada.
Oceanology 2014 features over 525 exhibitors, including a substantial Canadian Pavilion where Innovation Centre director Scott McLean, and Jeff Bosma from the Sensor & Instrumentation team, are hosting booth P200 and connecting with attendees from over 35 countries.
