Ocean data workshops were held at the University of Victoria on July 9 and 10. The first session was an introduction to data analysis with the statistics application R, using example data from the Ocean Networks Canada site at Folger Passage; the second session focused on making maps, including coastline and bathymetry maps.
Workshop participants included grad students, undergrads, and faculty. These workshops were part of a data workshop series organized by Ocean Networks Canada and Ecostats.
You can find online tutorials on the topics of data management and plotting data with the statistics application R, using data from the Ocean Networks Canada cabled observatories.
