# World Ocean Day 

ONC partners with [Oceans Week Victoria](https://www.oceansweekvictoria.ca/) and [Ocean Week Canada](https://oceanweekcan.ca/) to co-host educational opportunities during the week surrounding World Oceans Day on 8 June. Stay tuned for events and activities being posted on ONC and partner websites and social media platforms in late May and early June. 

Oceans Week Victoria is a collaboration among organizations in our community that aims to foster greater understanding and positive action for our local and global ocean. Grounded in the work of the Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition, Ocean Week Canada aims to amplify community initiatives and coordinate national events around World Ocean Day to recognize the importance of ocean health in our everyday lives.
