The ONC Innovation Centre is a Centre of Excellence in Commercialization and Research (CECR) funded by the federal government under the NCE program.  There are currently 21 CECR’s across Canada, working to match clusters of research expertise with the business community. The Innovation Centre (formerly ONCCEE) received $6,576,760 for the five-year period 2009-14.

The goal of the CECR program is to create internationally recognized centres of excellence in research and commercialization in the areas of priority for the Government of Canada to deliver economic, social, health and environmental benefits to Canadians.
