December 15, 2023

Message from ONC President and CEO, Kate Moran, O.C.

I am exceptionally proud of our dedicated staff who have worked tirelessly this year to continue expanding our research frontiers and our valued partnerships, which are transforming ocean science.

Climate issues are top of mind with the conclusion of the COP28 this week. Ocean Networks Canada (ONC) is committed to enabling ocean-based solutions to combat the climate crisis. Find out how ONC’s deep-sea and coastal observatories along the Pacific, Atlantic, and Arctic coasts of Canada are providing a unique ocean laboratory to monitor and test the efficacy of emerging ocean-based carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technologies.

I invite you to explore ONC’s fall highlights, including progress in developing CDR technologies, our new fiscal year 22/23 Annual Report, research findings, and more.

From all of us here at ONC, we wish you all the best in this happy holiday season and a wonderful year in 2024.
