Turbidity meters are sensors that detect scattered light from suspended particles in water. The amount of scattered light that reaches the detector is proportional to the turbidity or particle concentration in the water.
Turbidity is an optical characteristic or property of a liquid, which in general terms describes the clarity, or haziness of the liquid.
