Differential Pressure Gauge
Differential Pressure Gauge instruments are typically installed with current meters to comprise an Auxiliary Platform of an Ocean Bottom Seismometer.
The auxiliary platform holds a back-up battery to power a nearby broadband seismometer (BBS) in event of a power outage. Additionally, the current meter and a differential pressure gauge help seismologists detect and remove current, tides and wave signatures from seismic data.
