Cabled Observatory Reciprocal Acoustic Scintillation
The Cabled Observatory Reciprocal Acoustic Scintillation (CORAS) makes acoustic forward-scatter observations of hydrothermal plume dynamics.
Long-term measurements will allow direct evaluation of the total heat flux from Grotto in the Main Endeavour vent field over time scales ranging from tidal to large scale forcing from seismic events.
