Get inspired by our big blue backyard with a 10-day ocean celebration kicking off next week. Ocean Week Victoria (OWVic) offers 20+ ocean-inspired events and activities for ocean enthusiasts of all ages, starting with an ocean festival on the Sidney waterfront on Friday, June 2 and closing with another at Fisherman’s Wharf on Sunday, June 11.

Ocean Networks Canada (ONC) is a proud partner of OWVic, held during the week of World Ocean Day, June 8. This annual local initiative brings together a diverse group of organizations in Greater Victoria to make ocean knowledge accessible and inspire participants to advocate for an ocean future that builds a resilient planet.

OWVic is connected to Ocean Week Canada, a national celebration of ocean events, learning, and engagement coordinated by the Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition (COLC) project office. COLC is an alliance of organizations, networks, institutions, and communities working together to better understand and advance ocean literacy in Canada. COLC operates as an independent national project office with an administrative home at ONC.
